Services and Outreach

Leadership through service is the essence of our work. Prophet Muhammad, may peace be upon him, once said, “The leader of the community is its servant.”  CIOM coordinates, creates, and supports community service activities throughout the year as a part of our firm commitment to both our religious duty to serve and the welfare of our state.

Existing organizations supported by CIOM include Gleaners Food Bank, HUDA Clinic, Zaman International, Muslim Family Services, Meals on Wheels, Acts of Kindness, and more.  Our member mosques and their constituents have helped clean dozens of parks, feed hundreds of hungry citizens, treat hundreds more patients, and connect with people from every faith and socio-economic condition imaginable.   Be it through our marketing efforts, financial support, or simply bringing people together to serve, united we serve.

In addition to supporting existing groups, CIOM has targeted service days throughout the year.  Examples include Muslim Serve annually on 09/11, our annual CIOM Volunteer Day on December 25th, and our Martin Luther King Day of Service.

Please refer to our events section throughout the year to be looped into the latest opportunity to serve your community with CIOM.  The “Media” section on this webpage also enables you to see the reach of our efforts.  And if you have any projects you hope to promote through CIOM, please do not hesitate to Contact Us!

Our interfaith efforts are highlighted …
